Brad Schneider, 10th Congressional District

Congratulations to Brad Schneider, our Democratic U.S. Congressman from Illinois Tenth District!
For over 25 years, Brad Schneider has helped businesses create jobs and grow. As a small
business owner, Brad helps family-owned businesses address the challenges of today’s economy. Now, Brad brings his private sector experience—and common sense—to Washington. There, he will work to find innovative and practical solutions to help local businesses succeed and working families thrive.
Brad has deep roots in the community, including longtime service with one of the largest non-profit social welfare institutions in the state, the Jewish United Fund/Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Chicago. He is a member of the Chicago Council on Global Affairs. Among other commitments, he served as director of Business and Professional People for the Public Interest.
Brad is a two-time graduate of Northwestern University, where he earned a degree in Industrial Engineering and his MBA. His successful career in advising businesses, large and small, now spans more than two decades in the 10th District.
Brad lives in Deerfield with his wife, Julie, and their two sons, Adam and Daniel. Among his most enjoyable commitments, Brad coached his sons’ soccer and baseball teams for twelve years. Brad looks forward to meeting voters and hearing their views on how Congress can better serve them.

Julie Morrison, 29th Illinois Senate District

Congratulations to State Senator Julie Morrison, our Democratic Illinois State Senate from District 29.
Throughout her career, Julie has been involved in government-related activities, functions and positions. She has a broad range of experience in government finance, regulation, and services. As West Deerfield Township Supervisor for 14 years, Julie has seen first-hand the needs of residents and has developed many innovative programs through intergovernmental cooperation, collaboration between the public and private sector, and coalitions with social services.
In 1997, Julie was elected West Deerfield Township Supervisor. Intergovernmental cooperation became a priority during Julie’s administration, and partnerships with civic and corporate organizations were formed. This effort allowed the Township to develop programs and services to meet the changing needs of the people of West Deerfield Township.
Julie believes that her 15 years as Township Supervisor have given her a unique opportunity to manage, to legislate and, most important, to listen. A hands-on advocate and caseworker for all clients, Julie has taken government responsiveness to a higher level. Financial need, transportation, employment, health care, mental illness, family dysfunction, utility shut-offs, elder services—these are some of the needs that are regularly presented to her. Julie’s ability to ascertain facts, analyze need, and target resources has made her office a one-stop shop for many in the community. The Township has less than five miles of road and, therefore, no road district. Thus, Julie also acts as road commissioner, budgeting for and retaining the services of engineers, inspectors, and road crews.

Scott Drury, 58th Illinois House of Representatives District

Congratulations to State Representative Scott Drury, our Democratic Illinois House of Representative from Illinois District 58!
Scott is a former Assistant U.S. Attorney, currently running for State Representative in Illinois’ 58th District. Scott is an independent voice who will work with Democrats, Republicans and Independents to fight for fiscal reform and jobs, encourage business growth, strengthen our children’s education, and protect our families and neighborhoods.
In 2003, Scott decided to leave a successful legal career at a prominent Chicago law firm in order to serve the public as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, working under Patrick Fitzgerald. For the next 7.5 years, Scott vigorously fought for justice for Illinois residents by prosecuting and convicting criminals of all kinds, including a high-level member of former Gov. Rod Blagojevich’s administration, white-collar criminals, child sex offenders and violent criminals.
Scott is running for re-election as State Representative because he is fed up with the condition of Illinois. Scott’s priorities are to rein in government spending and implement responsible State budgets, support business-friendly policies that help employers create and retain jobs in Illinois, and ensure that local schools remain among the best in the State. As a former prosecutor, Scott is also focused on ethics reform and passing laws that deal aggressively with dangerous predators and give law enforcement the necessary tools to effectively fight corruption.
Scott grew up in Highland Park and currently lives in Highwood with his wife, Shelby, and two children. Scott coaches AYSO soccer and youth baseball. Scott is an adjunct professor at the Northwestern University School of Law and a trial team coach at Deerfield High School.
